Recently..well a year or so back, Pat McClure developed a website, and began posting all sorts of stuff from the Badd Manners archives!  BY doing so, we have been able to nearly get in contact with all the guys who played in the band, and all the guys we had working with us as crew in one way or another. The wonders of the internet.  A quick history...Badd Manners was originally Leviathan in Linton, IN...but we ended up being out of Vincennes...and changed the name to Bad Manners.  I think we played everywhere you could fathom around INdiana/Illinois in 1985/86.....eventually winning at contest in Terre Haute, taking the winning $$ and buying an old bus..painting it black..and heading out on the big road to stardom.  yeeeeeahhhh right!  Bad became Badd and we played all up and down the east coast, the south east, the south...the north...who can remember.... eventaully changed the name to Badd Madame..because we were gonna get sued by the english band.  It all ended a bit roughly in 1990, but fortunately all those rough edges have smoothed out over the years.  Now...it's all smiles when recalling those magical days of Roman and Bologna...and staying in every sleezebag hotel possible..not to mention the infamous band houses across this great land!

Anyway I regress.. At this website you will see all sorts of vintage pictures in various stages of the band life.  Fro the very early on and tragically embarrasing shots of yours truly...to the days of big hair, bright spandex and huge stage shows.  What a time it was!  It may cause you to burst out in laughter.... and for us old timers...well...some serious reflection time!!!

Enjoy!!

Oh yeah..and a little update on Atomic Farmboyz... for those who recall those years.  I (Big D) have been in the Vincennes classic rock band Zero Kings http://www.zerokings.com/main.html  for nearly 3 years since AF ended on friendly terms in 1990.  Kevdog is jamming with his brother Eric with some folks out of Bloomfield..I believe Denny White.  Maynard (who replaced Mikey C in 1997) is playing quite a bit with Contagious...who also features Danny (Dano) Holmes on lead guitar.. .Dano was the original guitarist with me in AF until 1994, when Dennis Kemper came aboard.  Dennis lives over in Orleans, has a couple kidlings these days...but still is Kemper...  so he's jamming somewhere!  Actually he was in a band out of Bedford called Bittersweet, but that did not last long...Last I heard he was in another band from that way...that does more 80's metal style stuff.. I think.  Dennis was telling me awhile back that he missed the AF days because the newer music he was doing in Bittersweet just didn't have the guitar solo's liek old Ozzy did! MIkey C is an instructer here at Vincennes University (LAN/Microsoft program).  BRad Laughlin, ran sound for AF...as well as being the drummer in Bad Manners early on... he works at Good Samaritan as a network specialist...and is the drummer in Whyy Nott.  http://www.whyynott.com/

The Farmboyz formed in the summer of 1990, fresh from my days on the road in Manners.  I was burnt out from the road, and just wanted a little band to play little places with little to no stress involved!  What I got was 11 years of continual gigging with allllll the problems that go with it!  Altho I must say it was a good time, certainly had some killer gigs and made a ton of friends in the process.  It is a true shame that Funkys bit the dust before the version of AF with Dennis got rolling....that period of the band could have gone against anyone....  SOme days I regret that AF isn't still kicking..but as anyone who has played in any band for any real length of time will tell you.... you can get to the point where you just wanna close shop for the sake of closing shop.

Zero Kings is a breath of fresh air for me...a band with good musicians, old school mentality.  No, we aren't gonna me moshing all over the stage..over even head banging...but...it is nice to not have the drama!!!
