SOHO Music Festival will once again be undertaking the monumental challenge
of attempting to break a world record at this year's festival by
creating The World's Largest Performing Rock Band! We’re looking for
600 musicians and vocalists to perform a three song set at 2 p.m.
Saturday, June 6. There are no restrictions on age, the only requirement
is that the performers are proficient enough to play and sing the songs
as instructed in our tutorials that you will receive via email. The set
list will be "I Love Rock and Roll" by Joan Jett, "What I Got" by
Sublime (edited) and "Keep On Rockin' in the Free World" by Neil Young.
There is no guarantee of SOHO's attempt achieving the World Record, but
let's give it a try! ... and PBS will be documenting our performance! If
the attempt is successful. each performer will receive a certificate
from SOHO and a copy of our World Record status certificate. To become
part of this record-breaking performance, a participation fee of $5 is
required, which includes your Saturday pass into the festival, a $5 gift
card from Capital City Music (formerly Samuel Music) and a
commemorative SOHO World Record guitar bottle opener($15 value). Or ...
pay $20 and receive The World’s Largest Rock Band commemorative
T-shirt, entry into the festival, a $5 gift card from Capital City
Music, SOHO World Record guitar bottle opener and two beverage tickets
($40 value). Proceeds will benefit SOHO’s 10 charities. The attempt
will be limited to 600 participants, so don't delay in registering
early! http://www.springfieldsoho.org/#!wlrb/cggw
